Abstract
Nutrition education activities in the form of counseling aim to help increase knowledge in pregnant women regarding anemia so that it can reduce the prevalence of mild anemia in pregnant women. The purpose of this evidence-based study is to change maternal behavior in selecting and procuring balanced food at the household level. This scientific work applies continuous midwifery care starting from the third trimester of pregnancy to family planning services, with a focus on the application of Evidence-Based Practice Midwifery (EBM) in the form of implementing nutrition education in pregnant women in the third trimester with mild anemia. This care was carried out at BPM Nur Fadillah, S.Tr.Keb. from March to June 2025. Indicators of success in implementing the EBM Nutrition Education intervention activity used a questionnaire containing patient data and an observation sheet of knowledge levels before and after treatment. Descriptive data analysis was used to describe the results of the intervention implementation. The results of continuous midwifery care for Mrs. T (30 years old, G1P0A0) showed that the entire care process went well. Before being given the application of nutrition education, Mrs. T experienced mild anemia accompanied by symptoms of anemia. After the intervention, mild anemia was resolved, and nutrition education led to improved health behaviors. Thus, nutrition education has been proven effective in treating mild anemia. Healthcare workers are advised to implement this non-pharmacological method to address mild anemia.
